This is it. The day we take Maran for her surgery. The date that has kind of been planned since well before we got her. We are a little nervous and scared but only for her -- we don't want to see her in pain and we certainly can't stand the thought of tears of pain rolling down our little girls cheeks. She seems to understand what is going to happen. She says she wants her feet fixed so she won't fall all the time but when it comes right down to it I know she thinks it will be a boo boo that we can blow on and it is magically better --- IF ONLY. Six weeks of a cast seems like a life time to me. Coming from one who has never had a cast I clearly have no clue. Thankfully it will be off before the dire heat of the summer and she will be running around before we know it. She is very excited about our "first real family vacation" which comes on the 25th of June. Daddy is taking us on a cruise and we plan to have a very very large time. Before we know it the cast will be off and we will be having a blast but until then ---- we pray for a successful surgery, a speedy recovery and a little girl who is not afraid (of Dr's, nurses, hospitals), casts and all else that can be very terrifying to a 3 year old. GodSpeed!
