Maran's Room is FINALLY DONE & it is STINKIN' Cute!

The painter left about 9:30 pm last night.  We waited a little longer before we moved stuff in.  We had a great time.  We allowed Luke to stay up and help move the items from the living room into Maran's room.  He would pick up a doll and say "Oh, how cute".  It was hysterical.  He was a big help believe it or not.  It's  hard to believe that this is approaching so fast.  During the "WAITING FOR AN ACRONYM PHASE" it could not have gone any slower.  We thought the TA would never arrive.   I got in bed with Luke around 11:30 pm to try to get him to go to sleep. He was so pumped up and still ready to go.  I was out like a light.  I had intended on finishing her room last night but when I woke at 3:30 am I decided that waking the rest of the house would not be good so I got up a little after 6 am instead.  I placed all the dolls on the shelves that David made especially for her and Uncle Howard carefully primed and painted.  It all fell into place.  I love the color.  I would not change anything about the room.  We are a little concerned that the owls (which we think are cute) may be a little scary for her but we will have to wait and see.  The basket of clothes we are taking is in her closet waiting for "FINAL PICKING".  My sister arrives tonight for Luke's birthday party which is tomorrow so I will let her finalize what we take.  In her other closet is all the clothes that David and I have 'pre-pulled'.  We plan to pack on Sunday after the BIRTHDAY BASH.  We still have to get additional passport pictures made which is not a biggie.  David has already copied all the documents and left safety copies of everything in our fireproof vault in case something blows up.  I still have to get Luke's schedule ironed out and other than that we are done with everything until we leave. (Well, besides the 37 things that are still on our list but we will disregard that for now).  Now it's onto the birthday planning.  Get my hair done later today and hopefully a pedicure is in store before next Tuesday.  My feet won't know what hit them.  They have not looked this horrible in a long time but I guess working does that to you.  Now I need to get some office work done. SHEEWWWW.........................
