We are a FUN LOVING Family who adopted our second child (first from Guatemala second from China) in November 2010. We are almost out of our total coma & have nothing but respect for those who have more than two kids (and those who have two as well). MOM -- Happy Go Lucky personality and always ready to have a great time.
DAD -- Shy and Reserved. Extremely Dry sense of humor.
LUKE --Toddler who brings a new meaning to "MONSTER ON A MISSION".
MARAN -- Little Porcelain Doll from China trying to find her way in this place called "America".
I didn't give you the gift of life.
But in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real,
As if it had been so.
For us to have each other is
like a dream come true!
No, I didn't give you the Gift of Life,
Life gave me the Gift of You.

I love the below blog. I think Allison is one of the most beautiful people ever. If I could meet her I would just hug her to death. INCREDIBLY INSPIRING BLOG. It makes me want to be the best person I can be. Thanks Allison! http://lovinmuch.blogspot.com/
Find a Great Pediatrician
Our Doctor Is Incredible and her practice is too... please give yourself peace of mind by picking or finding a doctor who is available and willing to help you at referral time and give their honest advice and opinion. If they specialize in INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION -- then great. Our Dr. has adopted three internationally and has been a GIFT FROM HEAVEN. Don't be afraid to ask for multiple opinions either. SPECIAL NEEDS is not something you want to jump into without having some professional 'KNOWLEDGE' of the need. This is our second adoption and the excitement shows in our Dr's face about bringing home another child.
September 2009: What do we do with the inheritance we just got from my grandmother's estate? We decide to put that money towards starting our next adoption process. Believe me it was not a lot of money. But there was a reason for us to receive it and no better reason for us to start this second adoption adventure regardless of the amount of the check.
At this Minute Update
We are busy going back and forth to DUKE MEDICAL CENTER because Uncle Chip has undergone a LIVER TRANSPLANT. What a crazy few days it has been. WE are very blessed that thus far everything has gone quite well. We hope it continues........
OPEN HEARTS
We are a fun and loving family with lot of love to share. I hope you derive something from these words even if it is just a smile or a laugh. If you learn something....great (I secretly wanted to be a teacher). If it opens your heart to adoption or special needs adoption then even better!
Luke-isms (Words of a toddler)
~I was working on the computer and sighing and Luke comes up to me and says "Mommy you need some hugs".
~Luke came into our bedroom and said "Mommy, morning woke me up".
~Luke loves to say/sing the blessing. At the end he often gets Amen confused with AWWWW MAN !!! And the ending has to be sung very loud!
~Mommy have they called us yet to go get my sister?
~When saying Tuesday you have to hold up 2 fingers.
~"Mommy, the clock says it's time to get up".
~The wine aisle at the store is "MOMMY'S JUICE".
~Luke's Aunt is battling Colon cancer. Since her tummy hurts his does too.
~Daddy goes to work so he can buy us more "THOMAS" stuff
~The door bell rings and Luke yells "PIZZA".
